Barça Set to Play First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition over two years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Barça organized an open training session on the home pitch on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
