Eulogies Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can finally put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the production, commenting that he cannot recall "any day without mirth".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A court order placed a restriction on the files to limit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the probe.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a record noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public individuals offered varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering provocative statements that were met with immediate backlash by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the detractors last week. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and remarked they revealed a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide should have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
